And for your delectation, we have also added another tour, Picasso’s Pyrenees, September 10-18, 2017 (Sunday-Monday), in which we’ll visit the charming little town of Céret in the Catalonian Pyrenees which became a mecca of Cubism and welcomed successive waves of painters to its lovely climate and low-key atmosphere, including Picasso, Braque, Matisse, Gris, Soutine, Dufy, Cocteau, Chagall, Dubuffet, Tzara, and many others, attracted by its native artist, Manolo, and Manolo’s friend and art patron, Frank Haviland. Read more about the fascinating story of Céret on this blog post.

We’ll also take a side trip to the lovely Meditteranean village of Collioure, where Matisse and Derain spent several summers painting.
We’ll also participate in a two-day festival which includes running races, brass bands playing pasa dobles, performances of the local Sardane dance, Catalonian songs, local delicacies, outdoor feasts, a Meditteranean market, and a demonstration of lace making by 300 lace makers. And a paquito géant, a fun and silly crowd-surfing event.
Let's not forget shopping! Purchase some locally made espadrilles and bags in the vibrant colors of the port of Collioure. Or pick up some local delicacies at the Meditteranean Market.
So join us for this fun and art filled getaway to the beautiful Pyrenees Mountains in Southwestern France! We are working to make this very affordable. Pricing and details will be on our site shortly.
