Hi Travellati friends,
Just a quick note to let you know that the Early Bird pricing for our Papa's Paris Tour ends February 28 – save $608 if you register now.
Solo travelers: Solo travelers are warmly welcomed on our tours. Some have tried other tours in which they were the only solo traveler among 15 couples and had despaired of ever going on a tour again. I myself often travel on my own so I understand what solo travelers appreciate and have incorporated this into Travellati Tours: we keep our tours small, 6-12 guests, so we can mingle and get to know one another. We share a single table at meals whenever possible, play ice breaker games, and engage in general conversation. Sharing a common interest such as Hemingway and Paris ensures lively discussion!
Dining at La Closerie les Lilas, one of Hemingway's favorite "haunts" where he wrote his short stories and polished The Sun Also Rises. We even meet Hemingway's ghost who regales us with tales of Paris past.
During our half days off, our guests often look to share meals and other activities with each other. Or for those of us who are introverts like myself and need some time to recharge, to take a rest or explore the city a bit on our own. You can choose to have alone time when and as you need it.
A day at the races, which was one of Hemingway's favorite activities.
Of course, betting on the horses had nothing to do with it!
Solo travelers are often penalized heavily when it comes to pricing. To avoid that as much as possible, we simply pass on to our guests the additional cost of single occupancy that the hotel charges, we do not profit from it.
One of my favorite mom-and-pop bistros in Paris, where we enjoyed an incomparable lunch of fish with tarragon sauce.
Looking forward to meeting you on our Papa's Paris Tour from June 17-25, 2017. June is the perfect time to visit Paris and Hemingway and his friends are always in town.... Who knows whom else we might run into?
Café Les Editeurs in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, where all the modern literati go.
Book by February 28 to receive the Early Bird discount, a savings of $608! A zero interest payment plan is available.
Next week, we'll talk about a little town in the Pyrenees called Céret and why it became so important to modern art.
A bientôt!
